Mr. Young’s daughter Audrey was the first female to visit the top of the tower prior to its opening. Mr. Paul B Young went on to build several San Francisco landmarks; the union hall of the sea men of the pacific and the San Francisco culinary institute, also many military bases ( Camp Pendleton in 1942 ) He was active in many San Francisco social clubs; Pacific Union, Olympic Club and the Corinthian Club.
