Hey Boston!

Are you looking for some f***ing awesome holiday activities to get you into the spirit of the season?

Good news — you’re in the right place!

Check out our roundup of the five best holiday activities in Boston this year.

#1: Visit The Museum Of Fine Arts, Boston

It should come as no surprise that we are all about spending the holiday season at your local museum – and the Museum of Fine Arts is no exception!

In addition to beautiful decorations and festive activities, MFA is hosting December Vacation Week from December 26th to 31st. Spend the week participating in art-making activities and learning about different holiday celebrations from around the world.

Best of all, during Boston’s public school holidays, kids 17 and under visit for free!

Did you know we offer private tours of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston?

Check out MFA’s complete list of holiday activities here.

#2: Downtown Boston Holiday Market

How can you get your loved ones something truly unique this year (besides buying them a Museum Hack gift card, of course!) and have a ton of fun while shopping?

Visit the Downtown Boston Holiday Market!

This year, the holiday market is at a pop-up location at 467 Washington St.

There are lots of local vendors showcasing artisan products such as jewelry, woodcarvings, metal sculptures, food, candles, clothing, holiday goods and so much more.

Check out the list of local vendors here.

#3: Join The 18th Annual Santa Speedo Run

The Santa Speedo Run (SSRun) is one of the more unique holiday activities on our list.

It began in Boston in 2000 with five guys just looking to spread some holiday spirit by running through Back Bay in only Santa hats and Speedos. Now it’s an annual holiday tradition.

And they don’t just do it for the ‘gram! Since 2005, the SSRun has helped raise nearly $2 million for local children in need!

This year, the Speedo’ed Santas are raising money for the Play Ball! Foundation, an organization that provides Boston middle school students with a chance to play. It’s all about giving kids the tools to be healthy physically—and mentally!

Register here (you must be 21+ to run).

#4: Blink! 2018

What holiday activity list would be complete without an epic light show?

For Boston, nothing comes close to Blink!, the world-famous light and sound show. This iconic holiday activity takes place at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace also has a tradition of hosting the largest Christmas tree in the Northeast – an 85-foot fir tree dressed to the nines.

#5: First Night Boston

First Night is Boston’s biggest New Year’s Eve & New Years Day celebration.  All of the event’s holiday activities are completely free and open to everyone!

There are even two firework shows. One at 7:00 pm for the kids who might not make it to midnight and the other is at midnight (of course) over Boston Harbor. If you do make it to midnight, definitely don’t miss the Copley Countdown Pyrotechnics and Light Show in Copley Square!

The majority of the First Night’s activities will be held in Boston’s Copley Square and the Boston Public Library at Copley Square.

Check out the full schedule here!

Happy Holidays Boston!!! ??
