I treated my colleagues to a special trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art through Museum Hack. I didn’t know what to expect, and ended up being blown away.
As someone who finds some museums and art a bit stuffy and elitist (sorry!), I was sure I would lose interest at some point. But, I was wrong. We had incredible tour guides who painted their own juicy pictures with magnificent art history backstories and scandalous factoids.
There were interactive surprises around each corner, and our guides skillfully integrated comedic pop culture nuggets at every opportunity! We learned (!), we laughed. We oooh’d with surprise, and aaah’d with reverence. I am now looking for excuses to do it again!
